The first thing in homesteading is to ask some questions. Einstein said that the best answers come from the best questions. Let me demonstrate. Look at the nomadic societies of our history. They asked the same question regularly.
Where can we find water?
That is what kept them nomadic. Eventually someone asked a different question though.
How can we get water to where we are now?
This question changed their entire society. Irrigation and agriculture were ushered in and permanent settlements were established.
We need to work hard at the questions we are asking.
Our goal is to have an off grid environment that we are able to survive in. We will need to address basics. Shelter, water, food, waste.
There are many more questions but these are where we will begin.
